Emre Taşgın

Emre Taşgın is a blind content creator, author, accessibility advocate and social studies teacher from Türkiye. Through his YouTube channel and personal website, he creates accessible content on disability rights, digital accessibility, assistive technology, artificial intelligence, education and independent living.
He is the creator of long-running video formats such as “The Disability Agenda” and “The Streets Are Ours”. In these programs, he discusses current disability-related news, accessibility barriers, lived experiences of blind people, urban accessibility, independent mobility, and interviews with disabled activists, academics, professionals and civil society representatives. His personal YouTube channel received the Accessible ICT Media Award for its contribution to spreading knowledge about disability, accessibility and inclusive digital culture.
Emre is also the author of “Disability, Posthumanism and Türkiye”, based on his master’s thesis on posthumanism and disability studies. He has been active in blind advocacy and civil society for many years, including work on accessible education, digital accessibility, Braille, assistive technologies and equal participation of disabled people in public life.
