Privacy
Plain language, no surprises. Here's what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
What we collect
- Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address, a display name, and a hashed password. We never see or store your password in plain text.
- What you post. Directory profiles, forum threads and replies, and anything you submit are stored so they can appear on the site.
- Uploads. Audio you upload is stored so it can play on a profile.
- A little technical data. When someone submits a directory suggestion without an account, we keep the submission's IP address briefly, only to limit spam.
How we use it
To run the site: sign you in, verify your email, show your work, send the occasional account email (like email verification or password resets), and keep the community free of spam and abuse. That's it. We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking.
Account emails are delivered through a transactional email provider (Resend) purely so the messages arrive. We don't add you to any marketing list.
Your choices
You can edit your profile or delete your account at any time from your account settings. One thing to know: to keep forum conversations readable, posts you've made may remain after your account is gone, shown as from a removed member rather than tied to you.
Data we'd rather not have
This is a public space for adults (18 and over). Please don't post sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.
